Diane DiResta

Communications Expert

Diane DiResta is a Crenshaw subject matter expert and Communication Coach. She has close to 30 years of experience preparing senior executives for strategic conversations and presentations.  Diane supports leaders who must deliver clear, concise and impactful messaging to their teams, as well as in high stakes presentations, board meetings, and remote sessions delivered to audiences around the globe. Diane has a unique ability to get to the core of a message and guide highly accomplished executives to translate complexity into simplicity.  She specializes in building “communications confidence” that conveys a stronger level of gravitas and a more polished executive presence. Through video, role play, body language assessment, and tools/prompts for streamlining communications, Diane helps her clients “declutter” their messaging, showcase their expertise, influence key stakeholders with persuasive talking points, and project a professional and authentic image that is more aligned with their company’s goals and values. She works with clients on message strategy and prepares them for mission-critical presentations through both on site and remote coaching. Diane marries the science of speech and language with practical applications that contribute to an executive’s ongoing success and upward mobility. In some cases, this includes re-framing how to present material and in others, communicating with a deeper appreciation for the audience – teams, peers, boards or even the media. She consistently focuses on helping executives be more succinct and impactful. Diane started her career as a Licensed Speech Pathologist for the New York City Board of Education where she diagnosed and treated children with speech and language disorders. She went on to work in communications training and management development in the financial services industry where she gained firsthand insight into the need for clear, concise business communication. She is an International speaker and author of two books, Knockout Presentations and How to Knockout Fear of Public Speaking. Diane earned a B.A. from Brooklyn College and an M.S. degree from Columbia University.
