Psychologist and Executive Coach
Lawrence is a Psychologist and Executive Coach with Crenshaw Associates. For more than 20 years, Lawrence has combined his expertise in psychology, executive development, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging (DIB) to develop senior executives and improve the culture of belonging and inclusion at various organizations. He has a proven track record of assessing and empowering high-level talent to step into senior and C-suite positions.
Lawrence has worked in various industries such as healthcare, energy/utilities, financial services, retail, and manufacturing. At RHR International, he co-created and led the DIB practice area. Lawrence has researched and written a variety of papers, including, “Journey to the Top: Developing African American Executives,” a research study published in 2019 to understand the nuances of African American executives as they strive for and achieve senior/C-suite roles. His genuine curiosity, insightfulness, and innovation has led him to being a co-editor for issues in the Consulting Psychology Journal, a consultant for various non-profits, and a keynote speaker at many events, conferences, and roundtables.
Lawrence holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Howard University, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also a licensed psychologist in Illinois.
