Lynn Utter

Private Equity Expert & Executive Advisor

Lynn Utter is an Executive Mentor with Crenshaw Associates, with over 30 years of leadership experience at the executive and board level. Lynn serves as Operating Partner and Director of Leadership Development at Atlas Holdings LLC, a private investment firm that owns and operates a portfolio of companies in a variety of industrial fields. She also sits on the boards of Lincoln Financial Group, a leading financial services company managing more than $260B in assets; Vista Outdoor Inc., a designer, manufacturer and marketer of outdoor sports and recreation products; and Lutron, the market leader in lighting technology.   

From 2016 to 2018, Lynn served as the chief executive officer of First Source, LLC, a leader in packaging and distribution of specialty candies, nuts and snacks throughout the United States. During her tenure at First Source, she led the integration of three merged companies and their sales, marketing, sourcing and distribution organizations into a single enterprise. 

Prior to joining First Source, Lynn served as global president and chief operating officer of Knoll, Inc. where she managed the global designer and workplace furniture company’s rebound from the global recession. She has also held several executive positions at the Coors Brewing Company, including chief strategy officer. 

She previously served as an independent director of WESCO International, NextEra Energy, Sila Services, and Merchants Metals.  Lynn also has served on the boards of the Henry Crown Fellowship at The Aspen Institute, The University of Texas, and the United Way. In addition, she co-chaired the Stanford Graduate School of Business Task Force on Women. 

Lynn received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Business Honors Program at The University of Texas and earned an MBA from Stanford.
