Makeda Brown

Makeda Brown is an Executive Coach with Crenshaw Associates.  She has over 20 years of experience as a coach, trusted advisor and business partner to senior executives in Finance, IT, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Legal and HR. 

Makeda’s coaching is often in support of transformation and integration efforts.  She also has deep experience coaching executives through change management efforts, increasing team effectiveness, DEI strategies and implementation enabling the achievement of business objectives.  Makeda has worked in sectors including Technology, Food/Hospitality and Pharmaceuticals/Biologics/Life Sciences. 

Her coaching work follows a successful career as an HR executive where she developed and delivered talent strategies including global succession planning for Fortune 100 companies.  In these roles, she built the approach and accelerated the development of diverse talent so that individuals could assume critical roles and lead productive teams.   

Makeda is an active member of several business and people strategy associations including the Philadelphia Society of People and Strategy (PSPS) and the Association of Talent Development (ATD).  She has served on the Boards of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Philadelphia Chapter and Kencrest Services for the differently abled. 

Makeda earned a M.S. degree in Human Resources Development from Villanova University and a B.S. degree in Business Management from the Pennsylvania State University.
