Suzan Beck

Executive Advisor

Suzan Beck is a Crenshaw Client Advisor with more than 15 years of experience advising senior executives on their career transitions. She has assisted clients with traditional C-suite searches as well as heading Crenshaw’s Encore Career service. Suzan works with encore career clients to explore opportunities where multiple activities, such as board service, consulting, and not-for-profit work, are woven together to provide sense of self-actualization. Her experience spans a variety of executive advisory positions across multiple industries, including fintech, financial services, sports/entertainment, defense/aerospace, technology/telecom, healthcare, and real estate.

Suzan partners with executives to analyze their career options and uncover the direction that is best aligned with their goals and personal brand. Through introspective conversation and active listening, she helps clients define the intersection between their skills and a company’s mission to source opportunities that provide the right cultural fit. She spends time with each client building and editing their unique message of value and making sure they can deliver that message confidently and in their own voice.

Suzan’s background in brain-based coaching informs much of the work she does with clients, and these methodologies are applied to validate if a client’s message is consistent with the values they identify with. Additionally, she teaches her clients how to be better listeners, change their language, and improve engagement with their audience to create new communications habits and influence more desirable outcomes. She has applied these strategies in both one-on-one and group settings to improve communications within and across teams.

Suzan holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BA in Organizational Management from Vanguard University (with highest honors) and holds designations of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) ™ with The International Coach Federation (ICF), Conversational Intelligence® for Coaches Enhanced Skill Practitioner (CIQ) and she is a Results-Trained Coach by the NeuroLeadership Institute (NLI), NY. She also continues her licensure with a California Real Estate Brokers License and Notary Public.
