Coaching and Advisory Practice Leader and Executive Advisor
Willem Genece is the Coaching & Advisory Practice leader at Crenshaw Associates, and an Executive Advisor with over 25 years of experience developing leader effectiveness for senior leaders of multinational organizations across a variety of industries, including financial services, publishing, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, advertising, and healthcare. He has worked in emerging and small business environments, having direct experience with teams and projects outside of North America, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, and India.
Willem began his career in line leadership roles in marketing, operations, and sales at American Express and later transitioned to human resources as a Vice President overseeing talent management and assessment, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and leadership and team effectiveness for thousands of employees worldwide. This dual experience gives him a unique vantage point for helping line leaders navigate their professional challenges and manage their career progression.
Willem works with Crenshaw clients to take their leadership potential to the next level through qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including 360 assessments and introspective conversations with the client and key stakeholders. He uses this data to create an action plan with clear goals, priorities, timeframes, and outcomes to help clients embrace new and more refined leadership competencies. Engagements have included, new leader assimilation coaching, executive presence building, high-potential leader mentoring, and diversity and inclusion strategy development.
He received his B.A. from New York University and holds the following certifications: Executive HR Certification, Cornell University/ILR, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), SLI, II, PDI Profilor, Hogan Personality Assessments
